A side project born out of watching the tournament: instead of picking a fantasy team by reputation, I used batting and bowling summaries from every match to rank players statistically — openers by boundary percentage, bowlers and all-rounders by their own performance metrics — and assembled an 11-player squad plus reserves from the results.
